Mailboxes
Mailboxes are the source of incoming email. You connect Microsoft 365 or Gmail to a workspace via OAuth; InboxOps then ingests email through the provider’s APIs and creates tickets.
Mailboxes list
- In the sidebar, open Mailboxes to see all mailboxes in the current workspace.
- Each mailbox shows connection status (e.g. connected / disconnected) and provider (Microsoft, Gmail). You can trigger a sync or disconnect from here.
Connect a mailbox
- Click Connect (or go to the connect page).
- Choose the provider (Microsoft 365 or Gmail).
- Complete the OAuth flow in the browser. You’ll be redirected back to the app after authorizing.
- The new mailbox appears in the list and will start receiving email. Incoming messages create or update tickets in the Inbox.
Disconnect and sync
- Disconnect — Removes the OAuth connection. The mailbox will no longer receive new mail until reconnected.
- Sync — Manually trigger a sync for that mailbox (useful after reconnecting or for catching up).
Health and admin
- Mailbox health — Available in the UI and via the API (
GET .../mailboxes/:mailboxId/health) for admins to monitor connection state. - Admin — Under Admin → Health (and Connectors), you can see connector status and queue depth. See Settings — Admin.
Email is ingested asynchronously. Tickets appear in the Inbox as messages are processed. For API access to mailboxes (list, get, connect, disconnect, sync, health), see API — Mailboxes.
